The main peculiarity of this megalith construction is a presence of two linear notches on the polished surface. At a whim of an unknown architect there is a small niche, between the two notches, about two meters high.

Arama-Muru started to attract even more tourists after the book of one unrenowned fantasy author Jerry Willis. In one of his books he ascribed some unique traits to this polished granite block like "interdimensional doorway". And the ancient Incas gods may travel through it to the world of mortal beings. After having all their business done they return home to their Eden gardens.

Usually ordinary people may go through Arama-Muru only in one direction, but the mentioned American author Jerry Willis accomplished his journey there and back again, just like famous hobbit Bilbo Baggins from an outstanding story by Tolkien. Since that time near the Titicaca lake there are a lot of different tales, legends and myths connected with Arama-Muru. A lot of tourists and travelers fall for these things and come to this place to be guided by famous Jose Louis Delgano Mamani.
