Airplanes cemetery in Tuscon

Nowadays Tuscon is considered to be the largest city in the state of Arizona. In spite of all superstitions, it develops fast and reveals itself only from the best side. If you get deeper into the history, you’ll find out, that some time ago only Indian tribes (Navajo) lived there.

In Tucson, you can find quite a lot of sights, for example, there are a large number of museums and a part of the fort in the city center, which was the first huge building at that time. But the most interesting place that everyone wants to visit is the cemetery of military planes.

The cemetery covers an area of more than 2,600 acres, or more than 10 square kilometers. More than 4,200 aircrafts, with total cost of more than 35 billion dollars are located there. It’s difficult to believe, that it can be possible.

The base was built in the postwar period, located on a mountain top. The special territory was chosen for it. At the cemetery, you can find anything from aircraft engines and to with different equipment. But these parts are locked up, because they still carry a state secret.

We can only judge only by the pictures, how interesting this place is, but when you don’t see it yourself it arouses a great interest. It’s just an incredible feeling that one wants to share with everyone, because it’s really amazing.
